Nicknamed "The Space Warriors," the UEPS is originally a moderate,
Greenpeace-like organization (the nickname is likely taken from the ship Rainbow
Warrior). It is later taken over by its fringe element and turns violent. In
episode 4, "Gateway Shuffle," they threaten to contaminate the Ganymede colony
with a retroviral bioweapon unless legislation banning the hunting of the
Ganymede sea rat is passed. Their flag appears in a series of historical
reference photos; logo on a white backround, with their name below.
